Welcome to Engineers Without Borders - UC Santa Cruz Student Chapter! Engineers Without Borders - USA is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life. Project areas include civil works, sanitation, structures, water, agriculture, and energy.

As a student-run organization, EWB-UCSC welcomes all majors and years. Our team also includes UCSC staff members and faculty, who will help us with projects and other aspects of the club. By working together with mentors and other volunteers, we hope to make our foundation year productive and rewarding.

Currently, we are partnering with a couple of villages in Cameroon, specificially Taakui and Shuukai, and designing a prototype to eventually secure solar electricity in these communities. Our plan is to install the protoype this summer in mid-July, so we would really appreciate any contribution that will cover travel and equipment expenses. Help us out today or Venmo us: @ucscewb.
